On the Day of Judgment, every soul will have to cross over the Sirat, a bridge finer than a strand of hair and sharper than a sword, spanning over Hell (Jahannam). The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ described it in a hadith:

“There will be a bridge set over Hell, thinner than a hair and sharper than a sword. The believers will pass over it as quickly as the blinking of an eye, like lightning, like the wind, like birds, or like fast horses and camels. Some will be safe, some will be scratched but saved, and others will fall into the Hellfire.” (Bukhari & Muslim)
